HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!!
With the winter months upon us, I need to remind everyone that we DO run outside even during the winter. Please be sure your child dresses appropriately. We will not be running outdoors every class, but we will be outdoors at times, so come prepared at all times!
The class schedule for the new year will be the same: Mondays and Thursdays at 3:30 and 4:15. The classes during the winter do fill up, so please be sure your child has their secured spot. The 3:30 class has about 5-6 spots available and the 4:15 has about 8.
With the new year, comes some changes. We will be asking everyone to enroll their child online! This will entail you to go on the website and sign your child up for a class. This will allow for us to bill ones credit card each month, unless we have been notified otherwise.
The last classes for this year will be on Monday, December 20th. This will allow everyone to get a quick workout in before the busy couple of weeks of vacation. In January, classes will begin on Thursday, January 6th. This will allow for the kids to acclimate to being back to school before starting CFK.

CFK is a FUN! strength and conditioning program for young athletes and kids alike. It is used by athletic teams, coaches and many parents that want their kids to grow up healthy, strong and have a life long love of working out. Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Healthy living requires that our kids push, pull, run, throw, climb, lift, and jump, effectively and safely.

FALL Time!
Fall is such a great time of year! Not only is it beautiful, but it also offers us a different kinds of foods to eat. Now is the season for apples, squash, pecans, pumpkins, and cranberries, to name only a few. Along with this time of year, comes the change of our eatting habits... the grill gets used less and we take it back inside. Be mindful of the meals we make and how we prepare them.
Fall is a great time to take all of your activities outside. It is the perfect time of year to work up a sweat playing soccer, football, frisbee, going for a run or hike, and even just going apple picking. Whether you're inside or out, make the most of it with healthy food/ snack choices and sneak in a little extra time for exercising outside.
NO CLASSES...... Thursday, Nov. 4th due to NJ teachers convention, which has all public schools closed.
There will also be NO CLASSES on Thursday, November 25th, which is Thanksgiving Day. However, there will be a FAMILY WOD at 9am. This will be open to all who want to come and see what your son or daughter have been up to these last few months, as well as get a good workout in yourself. So, come on in and check it out.
The last classes of the year will be held on Monday, Dec. 20th. There will be no class on Thursday, Dec. 23rd!
This month we have started our work on perfecting our pull ups and we will be doing some "ring" work as well.

Crossfit Kids Update!
Wow!!! I have to say..... I am impressed each and every class I teach, at how GREAT these kids perform the workouts thrown at them.
We had 8 of my students perform at Fight Gone Bad, on Saturday, Sept. 25th. They did so great! I was incredibly proud of each and every one of them!! I want to shout out a big thank you to them and their parents for making that event happen! THANK YOU!!!
As we progress in to the fall, I wanted to give a little update on what's happening.... I know everyone's fall schedules are crazy busy, but I just need to mention that the kids who have made the commitment to this program are really excelling at their sport of choice, as well as in class! Great Job, everyone!!!
I know there's no school next Monday, October 11th, but there WILL be crossfit kids class!!
Last month, the kids worked hard on learning the clean. It started out a little rough, but we ended the month with a couple of great workouts with cleans in them! Hats off to all that worked hard.
Next month, we will be adding the 3:30 class to Mondays and Thursdays, in addition to the already existing 4:15 class.
If your son or daughter has 4 or 5 friends that they'd like to take a class with, please contact me and we can set up a day and time that would work best for everyone!

School is back in Session and so are we!!

I hope the new school year is starting off well for everyone?! I hope everyone is finding time to balance all that needs to be done. It's such a crazy time of year, but we have to remember to eat well, stay focused, and exercise.
The new CFK's is starting Monday, Sept. 13th. We're changing things up a bit and with that, classes will be offered on Mondays and Thursdays. Both days will offer a 3:30-4:15 class and a 4:15 -5:00 class. The pay structure has changed a bit as well. I am running classes by the month, not the session. I am offering packages at discounted prices and they will be as follows:
1 month = $75
3 months = $205
6 months = $380
9 months = $560
*There will be no classes the following dates: (finishing 2010, but not including 2011)

Fall? Already?
It seems as though we've just gotten into the groove of summer. It's been a hot and sunny one, but "all good things must come to and end!" (or so I'm told)
Sign up for the Fall is taking place now.
There will be a few changes to the way one will sign up:
You must pay online; registration will be in increments of monthly, 3 months, 6 months, or 9 months.
The pricing will be as follows: 1 mo.= $75; 3 months = $205; 6 months = $380; 9 months = $560
The days for classes will be Monday's at 3:30-4:15 and 4:15-5:00 and Thursdays at 3:30-4:15 and 4:15-5:00

Time To Register for Summer!
The time has come to register online. If you are signing your kid(s) up for the Summer Crossfit Kids program, you need to do so online. SUMMER TIME!!!
It's been decided...... Crossfit Kids will continue throughout the summer. The summer program will start Wednesday, July 7th and go through until Thursday, August 26th. The schedule will be as follows:
Mondays - Morristown - ages 5-8 - 4:15-4:45pm
Wednesdays- Morristown - teen class - 4:15-5pm
Tuesdays and Thursdays - Bernardsville - ages 9 and up - 4:15-5pm
The cost for the 7 week program will be $75 for once a week and $135 for twice a week.
**We are hosting a KIDS PROGRAM PROMOTION....... Not sure what it's all about? come find out on SUNDAY, JUNE 13th 1pm-4pm
Bring the whole family. We'll be serving snacks, refreshments, doing demo wods, and offering games for the kids to play (crossfit style, of course!).

Spring session is now underway!!
It's always exciting to me when I see new/old Crossfit Kids coming through that door. I am energized by how well they do with each and every workout I throw at them! It makes me really wish that I had something like Crossfit Kids when I was growing up!
We are going to be doing some really fun things this session; we're going to play crossfit football, introduce tire flips and maybe even start talking about nutrition?!

Spring is in the air
With the weather getting warmer, we will start heading back outdoors.
The winter session has been a great success! All participants should be so proud of all they have accomplished. This session will come to an end the week of March 22nd, and the new, Spring session will be starting on Monday, April 5th.
With the craziness of spring, I will be adding another day of classes (thursdays), so there will be plenty of opportunity to attend.
One topic I wish to discuss is "form." As with many crossfit workouts, it's not just how quickly you can get it done, it's making sure that one uses proper form . The reason behind this is to prevent injury, as well as to make one stronger from doing an exercise using proper form. Yes, CFK is fun, BUT...... I do ask that each participant really try to focus on the skill that's being taught, as it is important to do the movement correctly.
Once a month, we are offering Family wods! This is open to anyone that attends CF or CFK. Bring the whole family! The next one will be Saturday, March 20th at 2:30pm in Morristown.
I am thoroughly enjoying working with your children, and am so proud of each and every one of them! I look forward to seeing the progress they will be experiencing in their specific sport. I look forward to working with them again in the spring.

Family WODS are here!
Save the dates...... Saturday, January 30th and Saturday, February 27th FAMILY WODS!!! These workouts will be geared towards the whole family, giving everyone a great workout. These workouts will be at Crossfit Morristown and will begin promptly at 2:30pm. Bring the whole family for a 45 minute workout.
